Q
My child will be attending Greywolf Elementary soon. What information do I need to bring to the office to register my child?
A
You will need the original birth certificate and immunization records of your child. We will make a copy of the birth certificate and return the original to you. State law requires current immunization records to be on file in order for your child to attend school. You will also need something that has your current address on it such as your driver's license, rental agreement, etc., to verify your physical address. If you have questions, please call us.

My child seems to have lost their coat (lunchbox, backpack, etc.), do you have a lost and found?
A
Yes, all found, unlabeled items are put in our lost and found bin located at the west wall opposite the office. To help us reunite your child with their missing items, please take the time to mark your child's first and last name on their coats, lunchboxes and backpacks. Any unlabled items left at the end of each month are donated to charity. Items can also be searched for after school at 3:15pm.

Q

I'm interested in volunteering at the school. Who should I contact?
A
You can contact your child's teacher directly or contact our district volunteer coordinator, Patsene Dashiell, at the district office (582-3264). All volunteers must fill out a volunteer registration application (https://sequimvolunteers.hrmplus.net/) every year. A copy of your driver's license must be scanned and provided to the district office with your application for a background check. As of the 2016-2017 school year, paper copies are no longer accepted. A friendly face and computer kiosk is available at the Sequim School District located at 503 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim, WA 98382.

Q
Do you have a dress code?
A
We ask that children are dressed appropriately for weather, recess and physical education. We often go out for recess if it's sprinkling. A child's appearance should not in any way interrupt their learning or the learning of others.

Q
Do I have to send lunch money in with my child every day, or can I buy a week's worth of lunches all at one time?
A
You can add as much money to your child's lunch account as you want to. If you send it with your child, put it into an envelope with their name, teacher and "Lunch Money" written on it. If you write a check, make it payable to Sequim School District and student's name in the Memo. Some families purchase a week, month or year's worth of lunches at a time. The lunch ladies will notify you when your lunch account is running low by sending a slip home with your child. The balance can also be checked on Skyward Family Access... login information can be obtained in person in GWE office.
New: You can pay online (small fee charged). Log into your child's Skyward Family Access account and click on the "Food Service" tab. There you will find the "Pay on-line" button.

How do I find out if school in cancelled due to bad weather?
A
The District Office's Website provides a report of school schedule changes due to adverse weather conditions and other emergency situations our districts. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, SCHOOLS ARE OPERATING ON NORMAL SCHEDULES. You should received a robo-call from the district for any closure. Also, you can always call the District Office at 582-3260 or listen to KONP AM 1450, KOMO AM 1000 or KIRO AM 710. Channels 4, 5 and 7 almost always list the school's information too. Make sure you're looking for SEQUIM SCHOOL District and NOT Peninsula School District (a common mistake).
